Case 1: The Real Estate Agent / Broker Did Not Remit Payments
Mary was Convinced to Buy a Property
Mary and John in their mid-twenties have been going steady for almost two years already; Mary fell for the charms of John because of his good looks, his clothes, and his manner of talking.
While in their relationship, John happened to convince Mary to buy a property somewhere in Lapu-lapu City from a large developer. After seeing the subdivision, Mary placed a reservation for a piece of lot with the father of John, who happened to be an official agent of the said developer; the father promptly gave her a provisional receipt.
Mary was also able to convince two of her office mates to reserve for their own lot in the said subdivision. For six months, Mary and her friends were paying the father of John their monthly payments, while they only received a provisional receipt of the developer. After she had a fight with John, Mary lost her trust in him and his father.
